Another wonderful Other Voices festival last weekend…. As usual we were spoilt for choice with so many talented groups and musicians to choose from! On Sunday, Paráid na Soilse made its way around town and in the blink of an eye….. the Christmas lights are on !! Just over two weeks to go til Santa makes his way to Dingle…..
We were wonderfully entertained by Larry Beau and the Velvet Bandits for our Thanksgiving “Beggars’ Banquet” Celebration.
It was so nice to celebrate with both locals and some passing visitors, and to share some beautiful“Thanksgiving Thoughts”.
Catering for the TV Stars!
We had a nice little surprise when Virgin 1’s The Six O Clock Show arrived in town to do their show live form Dingle Distillery. Ed was asked to do the catering….. and it was a bit of fun also albeit a little chilly!
We’ll have our Christmas Party evenings on Friday 14th and Saturday 15thwith a festive 4-course menu and of course complimentary mulled wine on arrival to warm you up…..
Our Christmas tree is up and it won’t be long before we have the Bistro all ready to get you and your friends into the Christmas mood…. You can book you table on 066 915 2770.

We’ll be open until Sunday 23rd 4pm and will be closing for a few days then for Christmas – Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th. We’ll reopen on Thursday 27th and will be open for dinner every evening up to and including New Year’s Eve 31stwhen we’ll have a set menu for you (€35.00 per person).
If you’re looking for a nice gift idea our gift vouchers are always very popular at this time of year…… you choose the amount to suit your budget.
Finally, Ed and myself would like to thank you all for your support over the past year. We really appreciate it. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year…..
Although the Bistro was closed for a while in January and February, a lot was happening behind closed doors… here are a few snippets of the changes you can expect as you walk in the front door at Grey’s Lane.
Ed has also been busy preparing some new dishes at the Bistro for the new season for our lunch and dinner menus. We’ve also added a brand new Kids’ menu to cater for the many families that visit us.
Saint Patrick’s Day is nearly upon us and we will be open for dinner Friday 17th and Saturday 18th. Reservations on 066 915 2770 or contact us here. Hopefully, the weather will be more clement than it has been in the last few weeks for all our visitors and everyone taking part in the parade…!
For the ones who didn’t indulge in too much of the celebrations, there is also the Tom Crean Challenge Cycle to look forward to on the 18th!!…. while the following weekend, from 23rd to 26th March, Dingle will host the annual International Dingle Film Festival for all the film buffs among you and again, we will accommodate diners on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th evening.
Jazz on Sunday….
By then the month is already nearly over and it’s time to think about the next holidays and all it has in store for us: the return of “Jazz On Sunday” and some more live music… we’ll keep you posted on our facebook and twitter.
See you soon…
Happy St Patrick’s Day to all at home and abroad!!!
