SOUTH AFRICAN – PRIME CUTS ZWARTZLAND 2016 – Chenin Blanc/Viognier SP
The warm sunny days and cooling sea breeze encourage the grapes to ripen to full maturation resulting in crisp yet tropical fruit flavours. A fresh Chenin/Viognier blend displaying intense floral and zippy citrus aromas. Succulent tropical fruit shows on the palate but it is well balanced by crisp acidity. A step up from our French Chardonnay, delightful with creamy dishes.
SPAIN – BODEGANAS RIOJANAS VIEGA NAUM RIAS BAIXAS 2017 – Albarino SP
Straw-yellow with golden hues, it combines fruit and floral notes with good intensity and a varietal personality. Fresh, fruity attack. Friendly mouth feel and perfumed on the palate. Very pleasant, complex finish that is both persistent and fragrant. We would recommend it particularly with our spicier dishes.
New Zealand – MOKO BLACK MARLBOROUGH VALLEY 2017 – Sauvignon Blanc SP
Zesty citrus white stone fruits. Made by resident winemaker Samantha Bailey the grapes are sourced from the best parcels of vineyard in the sub-regions of Marlborough – the valleys of Awatere, Waihopai and Wairau. These valleys have their own micro-climates and terroir which give this wine a unique personality. Would complement any of our light meat dishes.
France – MICHEL PICARD CHABLIS 2014 – Chardonnay SP
Truly excellent Chablis. The wine exhibits richness with the familiar steely tones of the region. Golden in colour with an abundance of peach and lemon. The wine is medium bodied with a savoury lemon finish. A great example of why many believe Burgundy produces the greatest Chardonnay in the world! It will go down a treat with the monkfish and the seafood pasta.

The vineyard ‘La Garenne’ in Puligny which belonged to the Maizieres Abbey, is located in the village of Blagny. Its wines offer a grand elegance and freshness. Reserved the wine is fine, tense, mineral and subtle. Classically Puligny. All the fruit is hand harvested and organic farming methods began in 2002. Since 2005 biodynamic viticulture has accompanied this practice in an effort to fully respect the living soils.
